Old Bridge Chemicals Employees Receive OSHA-Compliant Training

OLD BRIDGE, New Jersey, USA, March 18, 2019 –Old Bridge Chemicals team members recently completed the American Heart Association Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED course held at the company’s Old Bridge, New Jersey headquarters.

Meeting OSHA regulatory requirements, the training included both hands-on coaching and classroom teaching conducted by an American Heart Association certified instructor. The course prepared all OB students how to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Skills covered in the course included first aid, choking relief, and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants. Upon successful completion of the comprehensive course, all participants were certified for two years.

To ensure a quick response to a medical emergency, dozens of OB employees representing every area and shift of the company participated in the training. Adam Bzura, Director of Purchasing said, “The safety of every OB team member is our number one priority. The skills obtained by the course go beyond our 64 sq. acre campus and can be used by our families at home and throughout their communities.”

Heartsaver® is a registered trademark ® of the American Heart Association.
